1956年底，切格瓦拉和卡斯楚率革命軍登陸古巴，遭到親美政權「巴蒂斯塔」政府軍強力鎮壓。兩年後這批游擊隊獲農民及工人支持，日漸壯大。1959年革命軍成功佔領首都哈瓦那，親美的巴蒂斯塔流亡出走，古巴共和國宣布成立。這個消息震撼了全世界，如同格瓦拉在聯合國的演說，撼動著所有相信革命運動的狂熱分子，直到今日，理想的革命之路仍然繼續地行進。本片結合紀錄片及仿紀錄片的豐富影像元素，大膽奔放的取鏡及剪接，用英雄史話式的影像及精采對白，打造青年格瓦拉的熱情和睿智。

On November 26, 1956, Fidel Castro sails to Cuba with eighty rebels. One of those rebels is Ernesto “Che” Guevara, an Argentine doctor who shares a common goal with Fidel Castro. Che proves indispensable as a fighter, and quickly grasps the art of guerrilla warfare. As he throws himself into the struggle, Che is embraced by his comrades and the Cuban people.
