35歲的兒子失業外加老婆外遇，54歲的老爸跟第三任妻子婚姻出了狀況，同樣陷入人生瓶頸的父子倆，相偕離開東京，共赴荒廢的山間小屋避暑度假，開心地穿上奶奶收藏的小學運動服，老爸終日無所事事，打著老舊的遊樂器麻將，兒子誇口要寫小說，卻一句也寫不出來……。全片鏡頭幾乎皆迴繞於小屋、森林、田野的閒逸風光之間，卻逐漸流露父子面臨人生轉捩點的焦慮不安。俯拾即是的無厘頭幽默間，中村義洋將一段夏日遊記，打理成一部讓人開懷大笑，同時細膩反應角色內在的上乘喜劇。
35-year-old son quits his job and heads off to the remote mountains with his father. The son’s wife is involved with another man, and the father’s third marriage is on the rocks... The two take time out while slowly passing the summer. Eventually, it becomes a summer tradition for them, as if just by doing nothing will give them a solution for their dead-end situation.
