2007年緬甸反軍政府示威，許多僧侶與民間人士一同走上街頭抗議，卻被軍隊無情鎮壓，相關新聞亦遭全面封鎖。但是，有一群地下影像記者（Video Journalists）仍然冒著生命危險，用迷你DV紀錄了鎮壓現場的衝突，以及人們追求民主的渴望。這些影像經過簡單的編輯之後，由網路散佈至世界各個角落，終於讓人們明白了緬甸的真實景象。由這些片段所組成的《緬甸起義：看不到的真相》，用宛如戰地記者深入前線般驚心動魄的影像臨場感，帶觀眾身歷其境地一覽這個令人震撼的歷史時刻！

BURMA VJ is comprised largely of material shot by undercover reporters in Burma, offers a unique insight into high-risk journalism and dissidence in a police state, while at the same time providing a thorough documentation of the historical and dramatic days of September 2007, when the Buddhist monks started marching.
